Micro:bit Model Rocket Car Competition
Three of our Year 8 students represented QB at regional model rocket car competition. After some design work and building, our team managed to return a brilliant second place!
The event was run alongside the BLOODHOUND project, the team of engineers trying to beat the target speed of 1,000 mph. During the project the students had to work together to make a foam rocket car, powered by a small solid fuel rocket motor, and pit it against rival teams.
Their design #QBRocksIT shows the sleek style of a modern aerodynamic racing car. Well done to them!
