QB Careers Week

This week is Careers Week - the first of three Focus weeks in the year

Our focus question for the week is: How do my school subjects link to different careers?

Teachers in all lessons will be talking to students about how the skills and knowledge of their subjects could support them in their future.  We're also going to be having different talks, workshops and form sessions all encouraging students to think about life after QB!

We have a number of events and different visitors throughout the week:

Year 8 will meet with the Principal of Class Act Theatrix. (Ash told students about how her journey in the creative industries began with a dream of being a dentist!)

A number of Year 9 and 10 students will be taking part in a workshop by the EY Foundation.

BMET will be visiting to talk to Year 9s about apprenticeships.

Solihull Sixth Form College will be working with some Year 11 students to introduce the Extended Project Qualification - and to discuss the routes into Russell Group Universities.

Year 11 will be having a Careers Fair with colleges and sixth form providers from across the city.
