QB Pupil Wins National Composition Competition

Year 10 Queensbridge pupil Cian has become one of ten pupils in the country to have a fanfare he has written chosen by the Royal Opera House to be recorded by their orchestra.

Cian and the rest of the music GCSE class wrote fanfares in their music lesson for the ROH Fanfare Competition and we are delighted that his has been chosen. He has already spent some time with ROH musicians and composers and is currently refining his fanfare, ready for a recording session in June.

Once recorded, the fanfare will be used as one of the interval bells for the 2017-18 season at the Royal Opera House.

We congratulate Cian on such an amazing achievement.
