Summer Fun in your Library!

Summer in the library – Great opportunities for our students to get involved.
Summer is a great time in our library—plenty of new books to discover, bright spaces by the glorious windows filled with sunshine, and chances to take reading in and out of the library and into the peace garden.
We’re marking Pride Month as always with special events, screenings and with 70+ books to explore.
Working alongside our Stronger Together festival, we’ll be creating a quieter, cosy outdoor pop-up library alongside a large pre-loved book sale.
There’s also our massive SORA ( our free online reading platform) competition, where you can read all summer, rack up your minutes, and compete for individual and form prizes. You’ll have access to a huge collection of ‘sweet reads’ with unlimited borrowing, plus QB-style challenges you can track yourself—like a Duolingo streak—competing with friends as you go. With over 6,000 magazines, graphic novels, manga, non-fiction titles and audiobooks all available for free, there’s something for everyone.
We’ll round things off with the ultimate end-of-year quiz—bring a team and compete for fun, or join one of our super teams if you’d rather go it alone. There’ll be loads of prizes, a snack bar, and of course… ice lollies.
