We are looking to recruit a strong Head of Year who will share our determination to transform the life chances of our 900 pupils.

GR4A £33,366 (SCP23) - £35,235 (SCP25) pro rata 

(Actual Salary £29,301.31-£30,942.63)

Full Time 36.5 hours per week Term Time Only 

Queensbridge School is looking to recruit a strong Head of Year who will share our determination to transform the life chances of our 900 pupils.  At Queensbridge the pastoral team is a dedicated group of colleagues and you will lead on all aspects of pupil behaviour and well-being in support of every child’s achievement within your year group. 

As a non-teaching Head of Year you will proactively lead and manage the progress, attendance, behaviour and well-being of your year group – leading with purpose, presence and passion.  

About the Role: 

  • Ensure success is celebrated and underachievement is addressed in a timely manner 

  • Identify, coordinate, and drive tailored interventions that support students in overcoming barriers to attendance, progress, and conduct 

  • Proactively foster strong, collaborative relationships with parents and carers to build a consistent support network for every student  

  • Develop and deliver a high-impact year group improvement plan that aligns with school priorities and responds dynamically to student needs 

About You: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Organisational skills 

  • Commitment to education and ensuring equal opportunities 

  • Previous experience with children or young people, particularly in a school setting  

  • You will need empathy, patience and resilience
