We are looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician to support the Design Technology Department through the provision of specialist technical skills and knowledge across a range of disciplines. The role will provide outstanding support for the teaching and learning in Design Technology. The job holder will be required to support the preparation and delivery of practical lessons and support extra-curricular activities.
As the Design Technology Technician you will support with the use of practical resources and support the effective delivery of the Design Technology curriculum. You will liaise with staff to support high-quality Design Technology teaching.
About the Role:
- Provide technical guidance, ensuring safe and efficient preparation of materials (including the ability to mark out wood and cut to specific size)
- Lead on the maintenance of equipment
- Contribute to health and safety compliance, including support with the development and implementation of safety protocols and risk assessments
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of enrichment activities, trips or Design Technology events as required
