Student Leaders

Leadership is one of Queensbridge's core values and we believe every student should have the opportunity to have their voice heard and make a contribution to school life.

Student leadership is open to all pupils and provides students with the chance to represent their year group, share ideas and work alongside staff to help improve our school. Student Leaders are easily recognisable through their leadership lanyards and take pride in being positive role models within our community.

Student Leaders meet regularly with staff to discuss issues that matter to pupils and to provide feedback on a wide range of school initiatives. Their views help shape decisions and ensure that students play an active role in the continued development of Queensbridge.

Students also have the opportunity to work with local organisations and community partners, giving them valuable experiences beyond the classroom. Recent projects have included organising Walk to School Week, supporting active travel campaigns, meeting with local stakeholders and contributing to discussions about improvements within school.

Many of our Student Leaders are going to train as Wellbeing Ambassadors this year, helping to promote positive wellbeing and creating a supportive environment for others. Through these experiences, students grow in confidence, learn to work effectively with different groups of people and gain practical experience of leadership and teamwork.

At break and lunchtime, Student Leaders can be spotted around school in their pink high-visibility jackets. They will help to run some of the social time spaces we have available.

Student leadership continues into Year 11, where students play a key role in planning and organising the annual Prom. Working as part of the Prom Committee, they help make decisions about the event and work together throughout the year to ensure it is a memorable occasion for their year group.

These opportunities allow students to take responsibility, contribute to their school community and gain valuable experiences that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
