Queensbridge School is an 11 - 16 comprehensive, friendly and oversubscribed all-ability Foundation School of 900 pupils. 

 

Students are taught by experienced and passionate team of specialist teachers. We are looking to appoint a new member of the English team who be the Lead Teacher for the Media Studies Course and inspire, motivate and support our students to reach and exceed their potential; whilst developing knowledge, skills and empathy to take into the next stage of their lives. Media Studies is a popular option subject at GCSE and students consistently achieve excellent results. The successful candidate will teach GCSE Media Studies and be, or have the potential to be, an outstanding teacher. The ability to teach English to a high standard at KS3 is essential but also having experience of teaching KS4 English would be an advantage.
 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a passionate and creative role model, with high expectation both in and beyond the classroom. 
  • Actively contribute to the long-term vision and practice of both the whole school and English Department
  • Be committed to providing opportunity for students develop their talents to outside of the main curriculum
